A leading – and highly energetic – advocate for diversity in HPC, Cristin Merritt of Women in HPC, joins Shahin and Doug in this episode of the @HPCpodcast, sponsored by Lenovo.
Cristin (pictured here at SC2023) discusses WHPC’s goals and mission (it encompasses all under-represented groups), six “moving the needle” lessons she’s learned about organizational change in support of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in HPC, and WHPC’s activities at next week’s ISC 2024 conference in Hamburg (May 12–16).
Cristin is chief marketing officer at Alces Flight, a UK-based advanced computing and HPC-class systems integrator and services provider. She is also a leader of WHPC, where her official title is business manager. WHPC operates 28 chapters and affiliates around the world.
