HAMBURG, August 2, 2023 – The ISC 2024 HPC conference has announced the contributed program categories for next year’s event (May 12-16) in Hamburg along with committee leaders:
- Research Paper – Jeff Hammond, NVIDIA Finland
- Research Poster – Rio Yokota, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan
- Project Poster – Antonino Tumeo, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, USA
- Workshop – Michele Weiland, EPCC – The University of Edinburgh, AHUG, UK
- Tutorial – Shadi Ibrahim, Inria, France
- Birds of a Feather – Brian J. N. Wylie, Juelich Supercomputing Centre, Germany
Conference organizers said the main ISC topics of interest in 2024 are system architecture and hardware components, programming environments, system software, algorithms, methods and tuning, applications and use cases, machine learning and AI, quantum computing, and community and HPC.
ISC encourages submissions that embody transformative research in high performance computing, machine learning, quantum computing, and other cutting-edge technologies, particularly those supporting scientific and engineering discovery. ISC 2024 said there will be a submission calls announcement in September.
ISC 2024 Program Chair Michela Taufer, the Dongarra Professor of High Performance Computing in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, will spearhead the program.
Taufer has undertaken the challenge to bring together the ISC contributed and invited program, including keynotes and focus sessions to propose a bold roadmap to reinvent HPC. Torsten Hoefler from ETH Zurich will serve as the ISC 2024 deputy program chair.
