Hal Gerber has worked in the die casting industry since 1974 developing designed applications for machined pressure castings including successfully launching production structural die casting in North America. The current casting operations are situated in Wisconsin, Indiana, Tennessee, Michigan, and Poland. Hal holds a BS in Organizational Behavior and a MS in Engineering Management, both from Northwestern University. He is a long standing member of NADCA, and SDCE prior to the consolidation, and has served on the NADCA Board of Governors. Hal has participated on the Process Development and the Computer Modeling Task Forces and shares a patent on casting insert technology. His expertise is in the casting engineering, casting design elements, customer collaboration, aluminum metallurgy, sales and market development, and in the development of implemented technology on the manufacturing floor. He has also co-authored technical papers presented at the NADCA Technical Sessions in vent technologies and casting flow design.
